The island of Fiji is popular for its pristine white-sand beaches that it is just one great paradise if you love the waters. If you are going to have Fiji holidays with kids, then might as well visit some other interesting places that the island has to offer. Apart from its mighty blue oceans, Fiji also has a rich cultural heritage that will surely fill you with awe.

Suva

Suva is the largest city of the South Pacific Island nations and it happens to be the capital Fiji. It is brimming both with modern shops and souvenir shops where you can find local handicrafts and traditional art that you can purchase and take home with you. This is also the place where you can find restaurants that serve Fijian dishes and exotic food which will surely complete your Fijian holiday.

Fiji Museum

This serves as the historical landmark at Thurston Gardens. In the museum you will find all the Fijian ancient artifact, handicrafts and you will learn about the island rich cultural heritage. You will also have to learn about the country’s history, fore fathers, early settlers and many more.

Colo-i-Suva Forest Park

This forest park can be reached by a car or bus from Suva. This place will provide you with ultimate rainforest experience. It has at least one and half kilometers nature trail, camping and picnic areas, waterfalls and natural swimming pools. All of these can be experienced even if you are just minutes away from the city.

Mt. Korobaba Range

If you are into mountains and climb, then this is a must visit place. The view is just breathtakingly awesome, as this mountain range overlooks the entire Suva, Rewa, Beqa Island, Yanuca Island, Serua Island, Kadavu Island and more. It would take 2 to 3 hours for the first timers to reach the top of the mountain and return. Be sure to take plenty of water, picnic food and sunscreen.

Nadi

This is the very first place that you will see of Fiji, because this is where the airport is located. This place is also packed with interesting shops and restaurants, but there are some more places in Nadi that are must-visit.
